Every player has their own preferences when it comes to controls and how the in-game camera should display the virtual world around you. It's for this reason that we made this handy guide to show you the steps to optimize your Destiny: Rising experience to your own liking.

Note: This guide is intended for the DRCA test, settings and options may differ between now and the official release of the game.

Controller Configuration

You'll have plenty of options when it comes to game controls for Destiny: Rising. You can either enjoy the default on-screen virtual controls, plug in mobile gaming controllers, or even use standard wireless console controllers for Xbox and PlayStation. To set those up just follow these steps:

• Wireless Console Controllers: The Xbox Wireless Controller, DualSense™ Wireless controller, and DUALSHOCK®4 Wireless Controller are all compatible with the game on either Android or Apple devices.
• Mobile Gaming Controllers: You can also easily hook up mobile gaming controllers like the Backbone and use the same button layout as the aforementioned wireless controllers.

Controls Customization

For additional customization, you can access most options by opening the Settings menu. Simply tap the Ghost Icon at the top right corner of the screen ⇨ then tap on the gear icon at the lower left corner. Check out the following tips and steps to follow below:

On-screen Virtual Controls

• Select Preset Configurations: The Virtual Controls are the default way of controlling your character with buttons and virtual thumbsticks on screen, and their placement can either be customized or used in one of two preset layouts. You can find these two options to choose from in the Controls tab of the game settings
• Customize Button Placement: You can also completely customize the button layout by resizing and freely moving them around the screen to the locations that will most comfortably suit your preferences. Simply hit the "Customize" button in the Controls menu, make your adjustments, and save your custom layout.

Physical Controllers

• Customization: In the game's Settings menu you will find additional controller customization settings, such as inverting control axis, input sensitivity, vibration settings, and more. You can even adjust the sensitivity for each individual weapon type, which also works for Virtual Controls.

POV Settings

You may have heard already about the ability to freely switch between First-Person Perspective (FPP) and Third-Person Perspective (TPP) in Destiny: Rising, but now we're here to show you exactly how to do it, as well as the additional options available to you for adjusting your game display.

• Switching POV: In order to switch between FPP and TPP, all you need to do is press the camera switch icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can switch freely at any time, even in the middle of combat. The image shown above should better illustrate this switch.
• Customization: You can also customize the Aim Down Sights (ADS) settings for each individual weapon type. This allows the system to bring up the ADS view with your specified input. You can do this via the Controls menu in the Firing Mode tab. Additionally, the TPP tab lets you choose what ADS looks like in TPP, either Over The Shoulder (OTS), standard FPP ADS, or Mixed.
